Stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful experience! Our waitress was so sweet and gave great recommendations. I ordered the asado de puerco, and my husband had the bistek ranchero—both were fantastic, especially paired with the warm, fresh handmade tortillas. We’ll definitely be back!

We decided to try Emilia’s new location on the frontage road in Brownsville. The new building is beautiful, spacious, and easily accommodates large crowds and parties. I especially liked the blue-and-gold mural, which gives the dining room a modern and inviting feel. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the impressive setting. From the complimentary fideo served at the beginning of the meal to the chile relleno I ordered for lunch, everything seemed to lack seasoning. The portions were generous and the presentation was appealing, but the flavors were disappointing. My colleague ordered the milanesa de res. While the serving included two very large pieces of meat, the breading was almost nonexistent, and the dish itself wasn’t very enjoyable. One highlight was the complimentary flan served at the end of the meal. It was delicious and ended the meal on a positive note. One additional observation: the servers did not clear finished plates from the table during the meal, leaving everything for the bus staff to collect later. Very big place and very noisy. Food was good there asado de puerco is one of the best in town. The only thing was that the piece of flan I got was super small

Was driving by saw this place and came in, perhaps I was lucky but good food with a live mariachi band at the same time its always a win. Staff were fast and friendly. The coffee was fresh and over all great experience. Will keep this place in mind next time I am in town
